About the Customer
Connecting Numbers Limited engaged CIL to build Etiaba; Etiaba is a complete solution that facilitates the management of customer sales, purchases, inventory, and point of sale (POS).
It supports multichannel integrations with Amazon API Gateway and offers restful and https services microservices. Real-time notifications are provided to users regarding important business events, including new sales, low inventory alerts, and payment reminders, which was a crucial requirement for the service.
To fulfill this need, the CIL team designed the solution using a suite of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS API Gateway, Amazon Cognito, Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless, Amazon Cloudfront and Amazon AppSync.

The challenge
The client (Etiaba), was facing several challenges that were
affecting their online presence and user experience. The
website was slow to load, resulting in high latency and poor
user experience. The client also had concerns about the
security of online transactions, and they wanted a reliable
content delivery network (CDN) to enhance the website's
performance.
Additionally, the client needed a scalable solution that could
handle sudden surges in traffic without downtime or
interruptions. They needed a solution that was flexible,
reliable, and easy to manage.
The Solution
To address these challenges, our team developed a comprehensive solution that leveraged the power of Amazon Cloudfront to improve website performance and user experience. By using Amazon Cloudfront, we were able to distribute content through a global network of servers, reducing latency and improving load times. This led to a significant improvement in website performance and user experience.
We used serverless applications that made use of AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon API Gateway to create a scalable and reliable platform. We used AWS Lambda to execute code and scale automatically, while Amazon DynamoDB provided a flexible and scalable NoSQL database that could handle large amounts of data. This made the solution easily scalable, ensuring that the client's website could handle sudden surges in traffic without downtime or interruptions.

How we used AWS as part of the Solution
Amazon Cloudfront: We used Amazon Cloudfront to distribute

fully managed platform that was easy to manage.
The result
After implementing our solution, the client's website performance improved significantly. The page load times reduced from an average of 6 seconds to under 2 seconds. This led to an increase in website traffic and a boost in online sales.
